I’ve been doing a lot of thinking. A lot of processing. Reevaluating my identity. Here’s a poem I heard today.

“Pins and Needles” by Dua Saleh

Dua Saleh is best known through their music or as Cal Bowman on Sex Education. Their poem “Pins and Needles” speaks on the intersectionality LGBTQIA+ individuals face when they’re already part of a marginalized group. When the other is seen as “white people shit,” or how it’s better to go along with what your friends say rather than being alone.

Working on our #PrideMonth display at work so I thought I'd share a couple of snapshots of what we did this year in the department. #Audible is playing a dangerous game with my bank account. Saw what was going on #BookTwitter and made this for my favorite #Booktok & #Bookstagram personality, @expertbooksmuggler. I originally wanted to do an extensive list of #LGBTQIAPLUS #BookRecommendations, but life doesn't always go as planned. This is probably why I should plan months ahead like I do with my #NationalPoetryMonth shares. So I put together a list of books in graphic form without a #blogpost to go along with them. Cinnamon Cake is such a drama queen. Too much of a drama queen for an alley #cat. I found out today that #BarnesAndNoble will waive their new premium #membership system fees if you renewed your membership using their old plan, which I did in February. So I upgraded to see if it's worth it. It so happens that I learned that they're having a #MemorialDay deal where premium members earn triple stamps and #RewardsMembers earn double stamps. I racked up 21 stamps today having ordered from their café & made some purchases. I both hate and love this. "History isn't a premade tapestry that we've got to suffer, a closed world with no exit. We can form it. Make it. We just have to choose to make it."
