“Strange Gospels” by Cynthia Cruz

"Strange Gospels"

In this version of the story
The girl becomes a blonde with ribbons
And smooth crimson lace

It was predetermined.
I taught them
How to do it.

I asked him to kill me
So I could be
Free.
