Edward Vidaurre is a Californian transplanted in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. He is the author of nine collections of poetry, the City of McAllen Poet Laureate from 2018-19, and the publisher of FlowerSong/Juventud Press. He is also the director for the Rio Grande Valley International Poetry Festival. His poems have appeared in Bordersenses, Interstice, and La Noria Literary Journal. His books include By Throat, By Miracle, Cry, Howl and I Took My Barrio on a Road Trip, where you can find this poem.
