“If William Carlos Williams Could Even”

by César Leonardo de León

from Quetzalcoatl in Aisle 5 and Other Poemas
This is just to say
I took the organic plums
you bought at Sprouts Market,
the fancy one on north 10th street,

and which you were
probably going to
Tweet about in the morning.
#SoSweet

I snapped a picture of three
in a white bowl
and posted it to Instagram
-Valencia filter to mask the blemishes.

It didn’t get any likes
So I threw them away.
